Twilight Actiongirl lands at Impulse

Following a well-received audio-visual themed show at Werner’s in Changkat Bukit Bintang in November 2008, Heineken Music presents Impulse continues to evolve with indie/electro magnates Twilight Actiongirl, who headline February’s instalment.

The four-piece of Ribut 10:59, ChaseyLain, Bunga and XU has been ripping up clubs and parties in Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore for the last four years. Their anything-goes, rough and ready approach to the dance floor has won them legions of fans in a scene that is dominated by house DJs, and served as a starting point for electro nights by LapSap (also with XU) and Vice Modern Disco. Taking place at Barsonic at Zouk KL on Friday 20 February, the night also blazes a trail of live electronica from KL newcomers Like Silver and hard-nosed dancefloor beats from one of Thailand’s hippest jocks DJ Oum, all set against a backdrop of visuals from local artists Cataphrax and Motiofixo.

As an innovative series, Heineken Music presents Impulse showcases the very best of regional and local talent at every unique instalment. Pushing forward groundbreaking proponents in music, art/design and/or fashion, Heineken Music presents Impulse will continue to see creative talent collaborating and sharing their work in a space where boundaries and distinctions collide and dissolve.
