What music were you really into when you were 12?
weishein Whatever top 40 hits that came from a pirated cassette tape for RM3.
ramodiaz Ditto. Probably Top 40 stuff like the Pet Shop Boys, Duran Duran and, um…Boney M!
What was the first music video you recall watching that fascinated you?
w Michael Jackson's ‘Beat It’! I remember asking myself, “Is that a boy or a girl singing on the bed?”
r [Michael Jackson’s] ‘Thriller’, because it scared the hell out of me (the zombies, not MJ). Honourable mention should go to A-Ha's ‘Take On Me’. That was so cool at that time.
Who was your first music celebrity crush?
w If I remember correctly, it was Tiffany.
r I prefer Debbie Gibson. Maybe Martika. Or was it Suzanne Vega? The list is pretty endless.
What song is currently stuck in your head and why?
w Guns n' Roses' ‘Sorry’.
r I have a few at the mo. Keane's ‘Spiralling’, Laila's Lounge's ‘Mawar Khayalan’ and The Great Spy Experiment's ‘Late Night Request’.
Who was musically important to you when you were a kid and in your teens, and who is it now?
w My music teacher when I was young. These days, myself!
r My sisters, who played all sorts of stuff from the Beatles to Kraftwerk. But nowadays, no one in particular.
Who do you have the best conversations with about music?
w I would say [Butterfingers guitarist] Loque and Zack [Yusof of Deserters].
r With the voices in my head!
What’s the greatest advice you’ve been given about music?
w Practise while you play. A guitar dude told me this a long, long time ago.
r My sis forced me to check out The Stone Roses. I was instantly hooked. I gave up my Rick Astley cassettes the next day.
What was the “it” song for you when you were in high school/college?
w ‘Smells Like Teen Spirit’ by Nirvana.
r Ditto. We went to the same college.
Is there a song you wish you wrote and why?
w ‘With Or Without You’ [by U2]. It's so simple and brilliant!
r P Ramlee's ‘Dendang Perantau’ and REM's ‘The One I Love’, [the latter] because it conveys so much emotion with very minimal lyrics.

listened to it 2nd time round - grows on u. n i'm a hard core kraftwerk, tangerine dream, jean-michel jarre junkie... so...but dun like the vocals in da muzak tho. i just like the sound of synthesizer...n other weird sounds... even kraftwerk with vocals in it destroys it... ditto vangelis.

sexy looking guys. should do more live shows
Brilliant duo. Discreet for a purpose, as if to hide a certain creative musical secret. The music tingles the senses and leaves an impression. A collision and collusion of thoughts it serves. Their new CD is a detraction of mainstream Malaysian music (and international too) and this is a bold approach. I would say this is very commendable. What else can u expect when u get 2 very visually creative guys to produce music. On a side note, the art work on the CD sleeve matches the music. Sheer coincidence or deliberate? Do check out the crafty arty CD cover / sleeve.
