Erykah Badu performing at SXSW, not Sunburst
Bad news for Erykah Badu's Malaysian fans expecting to see the "Queen" at Sunburst KL on Saturday. At around 2am (Friday, Malaysian time), Erykah Badu announced via Twitter that she along with The Cannabinoids will be performing at the SXSW 2009 Auditorium Shores Stage Concert Series on 21 March. And you know what that means: we won't be seeing her on the Sky Stage at Sunburst KL come Saturday (unless of course she has a teleporting machine or something). Did we speak too soon?

Erykah Badu cancelled
It is with sincere regret that we announce the cancellation of Erykah Badu's performance at Sunburst KL09. Due to personal reasons unbeknown to Pineapple Concerts, Erykah Badu's party has confirmed that she must give Kuala Lumpur a pass.
Due to the last minute cancellation, Pineapple Concerts was unable to get a replacement in time for Sunburst KL09 on 21st March.
Our deepest apologies to all Erykah Badu fans. And all the best to Erykah Badu.

i think if there was a contract done, badu wouldn't have canceled...pineapple concert might have not paid her down payment so she has a right to say fuck off to sunburst...i would to if i were her...basically, i think there was no real confirmation between pineapple and badu management...so pineapple people are still incompetent and fucking liars
