WTF Wednesday: SOAD drummer buys Superman comic for US$300k
System of a Down drummer John Dolmayan has established new pinnacles of brilliant rockstar financial management, with the recent purchase of the first comic book featuring Superman for US$317,200.
According to PerezHilton.com, the drummer is also a comic book dealer, and he won an auction for the Action Comics No. 1 from 1938.
Dolmayan now owns one of the reported 100 copies of this issue that are in existence. Apparently the previous owner bought the mag for 35 cents. So dear Junk readers, take good care of our March issue. You neeeever know...
