UPDATE: Festival Watch: SINGfest 2009
We've pretty much overloaded on Sunburst KL 09 and now it's time to move on to another. We're talking about SINGfest 2009, which in Junk's humble opinion, is becoming one of the best festivals in the region and probably why we've trekked to Singapore two years in a row for it.
The rumours have begun for "South East Asia's premier live music event" and we're hearing that this year's SINGfest is going to be massive (and that's an understatement). We don't want to get your hopes up but we hear that the organisers Midas Promotions are trying to secure names like The Cure, Black Eyed Peas, The Killers, Snow Patrol, No Doubt and Paramore (they're not doing any other shows in Asia other than Summersonic 09). Please note that we aren't confirming any of these acts, so don't get pissy when they aren't on the bill!

Looks like you commenters were right. According to The Straits Times, SINGFest 2009 has been postponed to a later date. Keep checking here for further updates!
So.... I think it's safe to say that SingFest is dead.
