Ziggy doin' it for the kids
This June, Ziggy Marley quite literally brings his father’s music to a new generation of fans with the album B Is For Bob: it’s meant for the kids.
We do not mean "kids" in a figurative/relative sense here—this album is intended for children. The features on the B Is For Bob CD include online access to colouring book pages and a sing-along music video, as well as a one-year free subscription to Parents magazine. B Is For Bob also comes in a recyclable and biodegradable Eco-Pak, so you can think about the kids and the Earth. Why, with a conscience that clear, you the consumer could even run for political office.
As wise Bob himself once said, "Me is a common sense man…That mean when me explain things me explain it in a very simple way, that mean if I explain it to a baby the baby will understand too, you know."
Eight of the tracks on the album, including ‘Three Little Birds’, ‘Redemption Song’ and ‘Small Axe’, have been reworked so as to sound fresher to the kids. B Is For Bob follows Ziggy’s own record for kids, Family Time (which was released earlier this month).
