Oui/Magic Muffin (real name: Jitlada Rachadech) is a prodigy: at the young-ish age of 24, she already has the kind of curriculum vitae that most of us could only dream of, and not just because most of us are feet- and knuckle-dragging layabouts.
A music prodigy from a young age, Magic Muffin has risen to become one of Bangkok’s most in-demand electro DJs, having been resident for Jazzit RCA, Distil @ State Tower, Angelini @ Shangrila Hotel and Ibiza @ Intercontinental, and is currently residing at Twisted Republic. She has also guest DJed at Bangkok’s most glamorous clubs, including Route 66, Club Culture, Gazebo, 808 Club and Lucifer.
Oddly enough, she is inspired most by sitar legend Ravi Shankar, but the thump and chunk of her electro sounds are very akin to big beat house DJs, somewhere between Toxic Avenger and Bob Sinclar. This may not be music you sit back and appreciate but music that drags you by the arm, away from your drinks and onto the dancefloor. And some trivia for you: Magic Muffin made a cameo on the ill-advised 2009 film Street Fighter: The Legend Of Chun-Li.
