Germany's Hackneyed make Trivium look like grandpas

We were just getting into The Black Tide here at the Junk office and being ever so impressed with how young they are. There was even a time when we thought Trivium were bloody young. All that has changed now that we've heard of Hackneyed. The German band has a debut album coming out on Nuclear Blast called Death Prevails.

The official press release for the band reads, "Not only is the band already a bright star in the sky of extreme metal but is also the youngest band Nuclear Blast has signed ever since. Probably HACKNEYED are also the youngest death metal act on the planet as the average age of the band members is just 16 years (guitarist Devin being just 14 years old!), but already shredding and grooving as hell—mark these words!"

That "mark these words!" bit is a bit too over-hard-selling, but we were impressed a lot earlier in the paragraph to really care.
