Moderat, the collaboration between German electronica acts Modeselektor and Apparat, is set for a Singapore date in July as part of the Heineken Green Room series.
The two previously collaborated in 2002 when they released an EP, and this year the union resulted in a self-titled album that essentially merges Modeselektor's bulky glitch beats with the suave IDM pads of Apparat (aka Sascha Ring).
The event will also feature a dazzling display of the Light Fantastic, and is supported by visual arts collective Pfadfinderei and Brooklyn-based DJ Nick Catchdubs. In addition, all attending Heineken Green Room members will be able to create their own unique music experiences with the Korg Kaossilator, an instrument that produces a wide range of sounds and can be tuned to various keys and scales, featuring 100 synthesised sound programmes and 31 scale patterns.
