Former Damn Dirty Ape Sina is now a Sydney-based DJ, and his remix album shows that he’s serious about making it there. The first two tracks, ‘No Aspirations’ (WOW) and ‘Don’t Fight It’ (The Panics), have an earnest thump about them. Things pick up with Euphonic’s ‘Numb’ and the odd ‘Cats’ by Spod (which samples what seems like feline Muppets being wantonly squeezed). But it all feels a little dated, perhaps due to the absence of any complex shifts and turns that are requisite for indie electro these days. Download the entire remix album for free HERE.
