Are The Verve now officially moodier than Massive Attack? According to Pitchfork, they’ve broken up for the third time: the first, a year after A Northern Soul, and then two years after Urban Hymns. Since they put forth Forth last year, it was probably only a matter of time before they did it again.
As we told you earlier, Nick McCabe and Simon Jones announced the formation of their side project The Black Ships not too long ago; while Richard Ashcroft still owes his Parlophone another solo album (and Peter Salisbury has played drums on all of his solo albums) so it’s not like they’ll just disappear into the sunset.
Which can only mean one thing: reunion in 2012? That’s our estimate, anyways.
heh, yet again…
they just don't know when to call it quits on quitting.
