The 333 Songs Of The Decade: Help us compile it!
So here's the deal. We're compiling a huge mother, father and Oprah of a list: Junk is gonna decide once and for all what the best 333* songs of the decade are (scroll down to access the list!)
Why you say? Only because our third birthday is next month! Not only will we be extending our tentacles onto music lifestyle issues, and revamping this site, and revamping the look and feel of the magazine, and throwing you a massive birthday par-tay, but we're also gonna debut the mega Junk 333 Best Songs Of The Decade. That's what happens during birthdays: you grow.
But instead of us retreating into the forest with our iTunes, we want all of you to get involved, since we know all of you are musicologists waiting for your day in the sun.
It's really simple. We want your suggestions of the best songs of the decade-regardless of whether it's hardcore metal or bubblegum pop, local or international, underground or mainstream, in English or in Farsi, or even whether you wanna list just one song or give us your own 333.
Then it's up to us: we'll collate, delliberate and adjudicate and come up with our big bastard Junk 333 Best Songs Of The Decade list and reveal them bit by bit from 1 October onwards!
When you do make your choice, you can do one or all of the following:
- Drop us a comment in this very post (eg. The Strokes - 'Soma')
- Follow Junk on Twitter, and tweet your fave song followed by a 333 hash tag (eg. @JunkOnline MGMT - 'Weekend Wars' #333)
- Become our fan on Facebook, and just write on our wall (eg. My Morning Jacket - 'Gideon')
Simple as. Now get cracking!

* We're nine years into the decade. And we'll be three. 3 + 3 + 3 = 9. Triangles have three corners, and the outer surfaces of a pyramid are triangular. And the pyramid is on the US one dollar bill. Which has the Eye Of Providence above it. Which, of course, is usually associated with Freemasonry. Egad!
