Photo With Just A Hint Of Mayhem
It's nice knowing that in our Klaus Kinski-less generation, so many people are stepping up to play the "genius loon" role. Chief among them being Billy Corgan, whose recent exploits include: announcing the release of 44 songs from Teagarden By Kaleidyscope and erm, starting his own religion.
Now the mind of the Pumpkinhead will be dissected when he talks to a psychoanalyst about Carl Gustav Jung's Red Book, which was withheld from the general public until last month. Written after his falling out with Freud, the Red Book concerns Jung dealing with archetypal beings from the collective unconscious head on (as in all crazy-like), like Elijah, Salome and big bad black snake.
This black snake?
Corgan joins other oddballs like former Talking Head David Byrne, gawky comedian Sarah Silverman and the baron of mindfuck, Charlie Kaufman. The smartypants discussions are part of the Rubin Museum Of Art's Red Book Dialogue Series, and will be released as audio and video podcasts on a later date.
From this poster, it looks like nobody invited Vincent Gallo. Bastards.

More info on the series on the Rubin website.
