The description on Twinkies member AraByrd's MySpace gives a little (albeit misleading) inkling to her music: Hip Hop/Black Metal/Psychedelic. Sure, there's hip hop in her bassline and dubstep sensibilities; psychedelia in her mind-numbingly catchy sounds; and perhaps some black metal eyeliner in there somewhere. But who cares anyway? She is The AraByrd: singer, dance diva, once radio DJ, now deck DJ and all-round crazy betch (we say that with love, btw). When this kooky little Byrdie pairs up with BFF Nadia, they make speakers (and dance floors) bang with their eclectic mix of everything from indie to dance to dubstep to New Jack Swing to electro. Call them multifaceted, or just suffering from multiple personality disorder. We don't mind either. We speak to the girls right before their TOPMAN gig at Zouk KL on 13 November.

How did you guys get together?
We met at a playground.

What's a funny story you can tell us about Twinkies?
Whilst coming up with new toys and tricks for our upcoming gigs, we created our own Lion Dance!!! Major LOLs! Still thinkin of where to debut the damn dance.

What's your all-time favourite track, album or artist?
Ara: Dubtribe Sound System - 'Mother Earth (Ragga Earth Remix)'
Nadia: 'Midnight Love' by TENNISHERO is one of my all-time favourite tracks, but nothing lifts my emotions like 'To Build A Home' does by THE CINEMATIC ORCHESTRA.

What inspires you creatively?
Ara: Great results.
Nadia: Music, especially those huge classic tunes. Music always manages to enhance my creative senses.

What can partygoers expect from Twinkies at the TOPMAN party?
Ara: A dope ass playground.
Nadia: Yeah, come into our playground!

The big TOPMAN party on 13 November will guarantee an unforgettable experience on (and off) the stage and decks at Zouk KL with smashing performances by local heroes Couple, Killeur Calculateur, Lovesick Avenue and Twinkies aka AraByrd and Nadia.

Sign up at the TOPMAN microsite HERE to obtain the secret password for access to this awesome party now!

*Entry open to those 21 years old and above only. No shorts, slippers or singlets. Standard club rules apply.
