Brazil’s Otto returns with his fourth album. Known for his unusual blend of techno with African-inspired beats and other genres of music native to Brazil, his new album departs slightly from the ambience of past hits such as ‘Bob’, opting for more raw sounds (evident in songs like ‘Janaina’, which pays homage to native deities, and ‘O Leite’ featuring fellow Brazilian chanteuse CeU. Otto doesn’t sacrifice any of the ingenuity or unpredictability he is widely known and respected for, and his growth as a musical artist is more than apparent.
