Bandung Pop Culture Tour

Calling all creative Malaysians! Have you ever felt the need or the urge to expand your horizons beyond our own beloved country? If you've ever considered our neighbors in Indonesia this is something you should be reading.

Local independent clothing label pioneer, PopMalaya together with CEN (Bandung Creative Entrepreneur Network) is organizing a four day three night creative tour known as the Bandung Pop Culture Tour 2010 from 3 to 6 June.

The creative tour is organized solely for Malaysians who are passionate towards the creative industry and wish to deepen their knowledge about the creative industry in our neighbouring countries, particularly Bandung also known as one of Asia's leading creative city.

PopMalaya spokesperson and founder Azizul Latif exclaimed, “Malaysia is blessed with many unknown independent creative talents ranging from film makers to visual artists and clothing labels to graffiti designers. Most of their work have been displayed publicly and exhibited at art shows around KL and we hope that this tour will give them the opportunity to expand their knowledge and learn from the Bandung creative community”.

There will also be performances by 4 local independent artists in four different categories, namely: Sforzando! (Band), Fairuz Sulaiman (visual art), Kioue The Super Sunday (graffitti), Kukubesi (photographic).
