One of Malaysia's leading post-punk bands, NAO, is heading to China to spread their manic leads, funky beats, and socially aware proclamations on a seven-date tour that will take from Beijing to Chengdu with all points between counted for. 2009 nominees for Junksounds' Most Promising Act Award, Nao were also acclaimed as the best band of 2009 by other publications, and already have a full-length album under their belts.
Yes, we know Malaysia will miss them but at the same time support these hometown heroes on their third sojourn to the land of Chairman Mao and manufacturer of half the world's trinkets, gadgets, and et cetera, but you can catch them at their pre-tour show tomorrow night (or, depending on when you read this, 17th July, 2010) at Indicine in KL Performing Arts Centre. Entry is by donation, meaning you pay what you want to get in and experience what's sure to be manic evening with Nao taking the stage by storm to warm up their China Tour.
