MTV 2008 VMA performers announced
It's the big show where Britney Spears will supposedly redeem herself after experiencing what seems to be a couple of hellish years and that infamous cringe-worthy "comeback" performance at the 2007 MTV VMAs. While there's plenty of talk that Miss Britney Spears may be performing at the awards (her hair stylist and E! correspondent Kim Vo let it slip in an interview), MTV has not confirmed it. So we'll get excited and shrieky after we've gotten confirmation, k?
This year's awards will be hosted by Brit comedian and Forgetting Sarah Marshall star Russell Brand. The list of performers has also been revealed and includes Junk faves Paramore, Pink, Rihanna, Lil Weezy aka Lil Wayne, the Jo Bros and Kid Rock. Paramore will supposedly play 'Misery Business', Pink will play her new single 'So What' and Rihanna will do 'Disturbia'.
For an updated list of performers and appearances, check out MTV.com. The MTV 2008 VMAs will air live on 9 September, 9pm in the States. We'll let you know when we can expect to watch the awards in this region.
