As I Lay Dying
What can we say, it's gonna be a wild November in Singapore. LAMC Productions, the people responsible for giving Singapore Motley Crue and Ash in October, now bring the Rockstar Taste Of Chaos Tour franchise from the US to these parts. It's enough to get any true metal fan pumped up with the confirmed lineup of Atreyu, As I Lay Dying, Story of the Year and Japan's MUCC, so be sure to start saving up for those tics soon!
Tickets are S$95 (presale, till 7 November) and S$110 on the day of the show. You can buy them at Sistic. More info at LAMC Productions
Update (as of 6 Oct): We've just received word that Japanese metal band MUCC has pulled out from the Rockstar Taste Of Chaos Tour in Singapore. But the rest of the initial lineup still remains!
Update (as of 3 Nov): MUCC and Atreyu will be unable to perform at the concert due to a few cancellations of important show dates in their tour schedule. However, LAMC Productions have promised that the show will still go on with As I Lay Dying and Story of the Year headlining, and Singapore's A Vacant Affair opening.
Here's a statement from LAMC Productions:
“We sincerely regret to inform the amazing Singapore fans that due to circumstances outside their control Atreyu and MUCC cannot play the SINGAPORE ROCKSTAR ENERGY DRINK TASTE OF CHAOS show. However As I Lay Dying & Story of The Year are still coming and will be AMAZING and playing longer sets. Please go and support these great bands on Rockstar Taste of Chaos."
If you think you want a refund of your ticket (which you sooo shouldn't) you have to do it prior to the show. All refunds are to be made at Sistic Box Office at the Singapore Indoor Stadium by 6pm November 8 2008. No refund requests will be entertained at the door or after stated date and time. Dear SCENE-KIDS-HATER,
I won't be as optimistic as you if you'd expect for any mosh pits, circle pits or even wall of death. From my experience, Singaporeans are pretty well-mannered and behaved (oppressed?) people. They prefer to stand still and listen to music; sometimes get angry if REAL fans around them start to shout or jump around. Unless you can prove me wrong, I stand my ground.

Glad to see that u had fun at the concert. But AILD has a point though, people don't mosh to the "new" A7X because the songs are just too "mellow". Probably the older songs they could.
I beg to differ on your second point though:

I bet you've never been to any Rock The World or any gigs at MCPA Hall. The crowd can mosh to any type of bands.

yes. singaporeans mosh pitters are pussies! cock-sucking bunch of crap. ive been to the incubus/saosin earlier this year and it took them ages just to get warmed up to SAOSIN! saosin weyh! like come on. i know they are like a guest band but seriously they deserved a much better crowd. wimps! :)
