My Disco @ Republic, Sunway, Malaysia, 26 Oct

It's official. Australian math rockers My Disco are gonna be in town to rock the roof off Republic at Sunway Pyramid on 26 October. After searching for the right venue to host the gig, the good peeps at Soundscape Records (who are bringing My Disco to Malaysia) finally made their choice and changed the venue to Republic from the  initial MCPA Hall.

Formed in 2003, My Disco has travelled extensively and performed in seven countries, including in South East Asia and North America. Renowned for their angular, agitated guitar sounds, the band has garnered a good following supporting acts like Deerhoof, The Gossip, Mogwai and Weird War. They return to South East Asia to perform in Malaysia (KL, Penang), Singapore, Indonesia (Jakarta, Solo, Yogjakarta, Kuta in Bali) and the Philippines (Luzon, Quezon, Pasig). For their KL leg, Soundscape Records in association with Utarid Booking Agency is lining up awesome support bands Killeur Calculateur, MUZE, The Otherside Orchestra, Telephony Delivery and 41.

Admission is RM20 (presale) and RM25 (at the door); come early as the first 150 get a free drink!
