Telepathe (pronounced 'Telepathy') are made out of Brooklyn pair Melissa Livaudais and Busy Gagnes. And true to their name, the duo possess an uncanny knack for handling that hallowed space between drone pop and muscular dance rhythms, forging a sound that is oddly familiar, and familiarly odd.
After three EPs, the band puts out its debut Dance Mother at the end of January. It features production by Dave Sitek from TV On The Radio, and already has industry insiders hailing them as the first great find of 2009.
