Absence of the Sacred score Kevin Talley

Death metallers take heed; renowned American drummer Kevin Talley is coming to the region to lay down the drum tracks on Singapore  metal band Absence of the Sacred's third album Come Hither O Herald Of Death.

The concept of this album is a contemplation of death–what more would you expect from death metallers, duh! Frontman Mike Priest showed us some of the depth and beauty we can expect from the new release as he described his take on "death": "It can also mean the end of a previous paradigm where one finishes and another begins; cyclic perpetuation of self-overcoming, akin to the rebirth of self and the spiritual aspects of being."

So for those of you who were dismissing this album as a typical "life is short and then you die, how depressing" type album, think again. Expect intelligent, poetic lyrics mixed in with an insane assault of music with high tempos of lethal proportions!
